Comment on Activities and @Mention Teammates
Questions about an activity belong on the activity, not in a separate email thread.
Open comments
Click any activity (a row or a bar) in the Gantt, Network, Calendar, Timeline, or Team view. The comments panel opens beside the schedule.
Post a comment
Type in "Add a comment… use @ to mention" and click Post. Comments can be up to 4,000 characters.
Viewers can comment too. Trade Updaters can comment on the activities they've been granted.
@mention someone
Type @ followed by a teammate's first name, full name without spaces, or the part of their email before the @. For example @maria or @mgarcia. Owners and Editors also see quick-pick chips for teammates.
The person you mention gets "(you) mentioned you on (activity)" in the app, and by email unless they've turned that off.
Who else is notified
People who've already commented on the activity, plus every Owner and Editor in your company, get "New comment on (activity)". See Notifications and email digests to adjust what you receive.
Comment actions
Below the comment box:
- Needs update by data date flags the activity for the next progress update.
- Create RAID creates a risk linked to the activity, using the comment's first line as the title (Owners and Editors).
- Add to this week's plan adds the activity as a commitment on the weekly work plan (Owners and Editors).
Trade grants
Owners and Editors also see Trade grant in the panel, which gives a Trade Updater permission to update this activity. See Let subcontractors update their own activities.
