Weekly Work Plans and Percent Plan Complete (PPC)

The weekly work plan is a lightweight version of Last Planner: the team commits to specific activities for the week, marks them done, and measures how reliably it keeps its promises.

Open it

More views… → Work plan. It shows the current week with a Print PDF button and the week's PPC.

Add commitments

Three ways:

  • Choose an activity from Add commitment… and click Promise.
  • Click Promise on a linked note on the pull board.
  • Use the Add to this week's plan action on an activity's comment.

Mark them done

Tick the checkbox next to a commitment when the work is complete. PPC updates immediately.

How PPC is calculated

PPC = commitments completed ÷ commitments promised, for the week. Three of four done is 75%. It shows "—" until something is promised.

PPC measures reliability, not speed. Healthy teams usually run around 80%. Much lower means the plan isn't being made ready. A steady 100% often means the team is under-promising. See the blog on percent plan complete.

Review schedule proposals

When a promise is missed (a commitment still open after its week, or a promised pull-board note whose day has passed), the work plan proposes adding remaining duration to that activity, for example "Missed promise week of 2026-11-02 (+2d remaining)".

  • Accept updates the live schedule and recalculates.
  • Reject dismisses the proposal.

This keeps the CPM schedule honest about what the field is actually achieving.

Where PPC appears

PPC also appears in the digest banner above the schedule and in the weekly digest email. See Notifications and email digests.
