Run a Pull Planning Board

The pull board is a digital version of the sticky-note wall trade foremen already know, tied back to the CPM schedule when you want the link.

Open it

More views… → Pull board. The board shows the current week with a column for each day, Monday to Sunday.

Tick Group by trade to turn it into swimlanes, one per trade. Notes without a trade go in "(no trade)".

Add a sticky note

  1. Type the note, or pick an activity from the dropdown. If you pick an activity and leave the text blank, the note takes the activity's name.
  2. Enter the Trade (for example "Drywall") and pick a color.
  3. Click Stick it.

New notes land on Monday. Move them to the right day.

Move notes

  • Drag a note to another day. In trade swimlanes, dropping it in another lane changes its trade.
  • Or use the arrows on the note: ← and → for earlier and later days, ↑ and ↓ to reorder within a day.
  • × removes the note.

Moving notes never changes schedule dates. The board is a planning surface. The schedule changes when progress is recorded or the scheduler updates it.

Promise

Notes linked to an activity have a Promise button. Promising adds the activity as a commitment on this week's work plan, where it counts toward Percent Plan Complete (PPC).

Notes without a linked activity can't be promised. Link one first if the commitment should be measured.

Missed promises

If a promised note's day passes and its activity isn't finished, the work plan suggests adding remaining duration to that activity. The scheduler can accept or reject the suggestion.

Who can edit

Owners and Editors can add, move, and promise notes. Viewers can see the board.
