Create Recurring Activities

Some work repeats on a fixed rhythm: weekly safety inspections, OAC meetings, monthly pay applications, concrete testing. Rather than adding each one by hand, create a recurring series.

Create a series

Open Analysis ▾ → Recurring activities… and fill in:

  • Name. Use {n} for the sequence number, for example "Weekly inspection {n}".
  • Pattern: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly, and an Interval. Weekly with interval 2 means every other week.
  • Start date and Duration (days).
  • Occurrences (1 to 500), or tick End by date (instead of count) and set Until.
  • Workdays only (skip weekends) is on by default.

Then click Create series.

Each occurrence is a normal activity marked ↻ in the grid.

Change or remove a series

Open the dialog again. Under Existing series:

  • Regenerate rebuilds the series' activities.
  • Delete removes the series and all its activities after confirming.

Tips

  • Recurring activities usually shouldn't be on the critical path. Leave them unlinked to construction work, or link them only to a start milestone.
  • Validation may flag them as open ends. You can dismiss those warnings.
